Cookies Policy
QuantumAstra operates on a minimal, privacy-first storage architecture. We use only strictly necessary authentication cookies and never deploy third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
01What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your browser or device when you navigate a website. They allow web platforms to remember your authenticated session state and essential operational preferences securely between page requests.
02How QuantumAstra Uses Cookies
Unlike commercial social media platforms, QuantumAstra maintains a minimal footprint. We do not use third-party marketing cookies, advertising networks, or cross-site behavioral telemetry.
Classification: Strictly Necessary / Authentication.
Purpose: Stores an encrypted, random session token to authenticate requests to the QuantumAstra API. Configured with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax attributes to prevent unauthorized script access and cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
Duration: 30 Days (automatically revoked upon logging out).
03Browser Local Storage Usage
We utilize browser localStorage solely for non-sensitive interface persistence:
- qa_onboarding_data: Temporarily retains profile registration form drafts so researchers do not lose progress if their browser tab is refreshed prior to submitting.
- Theme & Display Preferences: Remembers your preferred view options and dismissed announcements.
04How to Manage or Clear Cookies
You can control, review, and delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. However, disabling the strictly necessary session cookie (qa_session) will prevent you from signing in to your QuantumAstra researcher account.
